Normal mapping from the high-poly version of a meshFrom $1By Steaph
About:One of the greatest advantage of Normal mapping is the possibility they offer to store geometry details of High-poly meshes, and restore them on low-poly version. This way, you can create some incredibely detailed models, while preserving the framerate of your application. We will see in this tutorial how to create some low-poly version of your mesh using a free tool named "Mesh lab" and how to create the normal map that will store the geometry details of your mesh. ( Take note that many high standard software like 3ds Max, Maya, Lightwave and even Milkshape 3D offer polygons reduction options.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
